This guide is intended to help you configure the image so you can get started with Frontline VM's on GCP
Launching The Image
After you have clicked on launch on the image listing, you will be redirected to the deployment page. The deployment configuration is already set to the bare minimum, so you could accept the terms and immediately deploy the image.
If you would like to edit the deployment edit the basics you could change the name, the machine type, and the boot disk type and size. If you want to change it even more, here are the GCP docs regarding this.
Setting up OS Login
GCP provides you with 3 ways to connect to the instance using SSH access. You could use gcloud command line, SSH from the browser, or connect using third party tools (such as your local terminal). Here are the reference GCP docs for setting up OS Login.
Once you have deployed the instance, click on the instance name and then click on edit at the top of the page.
Scroll down the page until you find "Custom metadata" and click on "+ Add item"
Add a key of "enable-oslogin" and a value of "TRUE"
Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit save (This could take a moment to update).
